Tried to get in here one night for a drink with Sherry J. We were a little disappointed that they were closing in ten minutes and decided to try again another time. While doing a route 1 bar crawl we successfully made it here. I had a pickle martini before that tasted like dirty pond water. I asked the bartender how it was and he said it was good. I trusted him and he was correct. It was actually fantastic! And we got a side of pickles which might be the best i have ever had. The bartender was friendly and really chatty. We made friends with several others at the bar. It was a nice atmosphere. Took the bf back to try the 45.00 cheese plate but he made the mistake of ordering a cheese place while i was in the restroom. We got the happy hour cheese plate which saved us a bundle and was fantstic. The cheeses were top notch. We also had the chorizo queso dip which i loved. Great flavor and a little spicey. I will keep coming back here and eventually try everything on the menu. Different bartender this time and not as friendly but did the job. Missed the other dude.

Excellent service! Ordered the Thai Mussels and Pub Pretzels to start and both were delicious. Had the veggie sandwich and it was good. Definitely coming back when in the neighborhood.

We went to yelp and were encouraged to try this restaurant based on the reviews. Thank you all for encouraging us to try this place! Just wonderful! Pork wings - OMG! Braised short ribs - WOW. BLT salad - excellent! Very attentive, but not intrusive staff. Craft beers were terrific. We wish we found this hidden Gem closer to the beginning of our vacation. We highly recommend the pickled pig!

TERRIFIC FOOD I SUGGEST GOING!!! So far I have been twice and both times was happy with my service nothing short of great.Great decor and no need to dress overly fancy though. Out of the ordinary menus items like pb and j hamburger which surprisingly enough is delicious. Also it had a good array of alcoholic beverages. OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE 2 thumbs up!!!

This place was awesome! I had the Retro Ham & Cheese and the port wine cheese is well paired with the ham, caramelized onions and spinach. The large dill pickle was delicious! The salad was fresh and tasty. The pretzels are warm with a crusty outside and a soft center And service was great, food was prompt, waiter was helpful and our glasses were never empty. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back at try the cheese board!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. A lot of pubs can learn a thing or two from these guys, the one main thing is they care. I remember the first time we went in there, they weren't very busy since it was the off season. The manager was there, easy to talk to, recommended some brews and even let us sample some soup and chili the chef had just made. Ever since this is our go to stop when we head down the shore. Just a side note... THEY HAVE THE BEST BURGERS IN DELAWARE

I have eaten here three times. Every time we visit Delaware. It's got character, great beer, and great food.

Really good food, Great beer list. Small modern-retro atmosphere. Staff seemed ok. Prices seemed a bit high, but for resort area i dont mind. I would come back

Thanks Yelpers for this amazing surprise in a strip mall. Stopped in for a late lunch after hitting the outlet stores. My wife was very pleased with the cheese plate. I had the soup and sandwich. Both were excellent. My half sandwich was the best Reuben I have ever had. Calling a Reuben "delicate" seems like a contradiction but it was light, full of flavor and carefully prepared. Will go back for the full sandwich. The server was pleasant, knowledgeable about the food and enthusiastic about how good restaurants are on the Delaware shore. This is a hidden gem worth a visit.

A group of friends and I stopped here while on a beach trip and were pleasantly surprised. They had an excellent selection of beer. We ordered three appetizers: hummus- delicious and served with olives and a red pepper tapenade; crab jalapeño dip- lots of crab in gooey cheese with a slow heat from the chiles; and crab corn chowder- super fresh and loaded with back fin crab. I ordered the crab cake platter and was very happy with it. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The pub is located in a strip mall, so it's easy to miss. I recommend stopping if you're nearby.

As repeat customers at the Pig + Fish for dinner, we decided to try this place for lunch. It was delicious! We started with the home-made soft pretzels. The beer mustard was quite tasty. I had their pressed sandwich called the Flatliner (pork shoulder, BBQ pork, bacon, smoked cheddar, pickles), and have been thinking about a repeat visit ever since. Yum!

Stopped by after a long afternoon of shopping with my better half. Read the reviews, needed to give it a try. EXCELLENT food, awesome atmosphere, attentive staff and just an all around cool place. I had the Carolina pork sandwich, husband had the fish tacos and a pretzel stick appetizer with dip and there were no complaints, and nothing left on the plates. Great place to try some local brews as well. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!

Well .... Pickled Pig used to have a 5 star rating with me, but they went and messed with a good thing. The Brewer's Plate, which is the reason my husband and I visited 23 times, has been reconfigured with a downgrade in the sausages. :( Beer is still good, but we won't be back.

Very pleasant dinner after a grueling all-day drive. Food was fine, beers varied and good, service really friendly and helpful. Crab cake was a bit heavy on the mayo but tasty nonetheless. Cole slaw pretty perfect. Fries were very good and the steak on the salad was cooked just right and very tender. Family-friendly and could probably get quite noisy when the kid quotient is up. We would definitely come back again.

best burger in town! met up with our friends for happy hour one night and have since been back twice in the last month. The beer selection is enormous and the food menu is straightforward and not too winded with too many choices (which gets confusing for me). I would definitely recommend their spicy mussels (watch out! it's actually spicy) and their burger. They usually come up with very unique burgers as well and one, the short braised rib burger, recently won the Rehoboth Beach Burger contest!

This is my favorite go-to bar in Rehoboth. My favorite place to go for happy hour anywehere. The beer tap selection pours some of the smaller breweries on the east coast. Always a good selection, and each beer is served in the appropriate glass. It is the best. Yes this is a foodie bar. If you have underdeveloped palette please seek out 99% of the other restaurants in Rehoboth. Seriously. After eating at most of the restaurants between Lewes and Rehoboth this place is hands down one of the best. Let's See: Killer cheese board including my favorite Cypress Grove Humbolt Fog Best Fish Tacos - they're fried - which I like at times, but I could eat fish tacos everyday, and I would if they weren't fried... maybe a non-fried option? Crab and Cheese dip - Huge portion, lots of lump crab. Pork Shank Wings - Like the best rib you ever ate in the shape of a massive chicken wing. Amazing Burgers - Perfectly cooked on a yeasty bun with some nice extras... yup, even with frois gras. Oh Yeah. The chef loves his jalepenos too. One of my go-to salads is a California style blackened shrimp salad with avocado. He puts a whole thinly sliced jalepeno on that sucker. I'm glad they're not afraid of the heat here. Speaking of heat, the gazpacho was definitely a little heavy handed on the jalepenos, which for me made the soup more enjoyable. Service - always friendly, fast, and good humored. What would make this place better? More seafood I guess. Then I would never have an excuse to go anywhere else! Bottom line: come for happy hour and get pickled at the bar, but stay for dinner and pig out in the dining room!

Was here last night for dinner. My husband got the fish and chips and they were great. I started with the crab/dogfish head beer soup, topped with old bay popcorn. It was soo good! I also got the Asian salad - it was good, but small for the price. Overall, happy with the food and I'd def go back :)

I noticed that my fork was not clean, but otherwise this place is great! The waitress was fantastic and was very helpful. She explained everything on the menu. The crab cake sandwich was the special and it was great! The Cuban press was also delicious!

I had lunch with clients the other day as I often do. The food is always excellent. You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a great meal and good service. This time I tried a new sandwich with pit ham and goat cheese and spinach. It was delicious and I ate the whole thing! You must try this restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Good food, fun atmosphere and great beer selection. It's our new favorite place in Delaware! Service was good, not very outgoing but he had perfect timing with drinks, food and the check. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Lewes.

I love the pickled pig. The name is awesome, the pickles are awesome, and the beer selection is awesome -- without the lines and general craziness of the dogfish pub. They always have some interesting beers on tap, and the bartender is happy to give you a taste of something intriguing. The 4 oz pours are also a nice option if you don't want to commit to a full pint. In terms of food, the turkey sandwich on pretzel roll, grilled shrimp salad (just ask), and regular pickles (just ask), are all delicious. Another example of animal name in title = four stars plus.

This is my new favorite bar/restaurant/happy hour spot! We come from Arlington, VA, and I like this bar more than anything in the DC area! We tried the pork shank "wings", cheese platter, fish tacos, and a bunch of beers. The food was all delicious. Their happy hour deals are amazing. We came in for Kick the Keg Sundays, where most of their beers on tap are 3 bucks! They have an excellent selection of craft brews. I can't wait to come back here.

The "a duck, a pig and a cow walk into a bar..." burger is hands-down the best burger I've ever eaten. I'm so happy I indulged. AMAZING. Great service as well. The bartender, Jerry, is funny and took care of us. Looking forward to my next trip to Rehoboth so I can visit the Pickled Pig again.

I was recently in DE visiting my Grams before I gave birth. We normally go to Bethany Blues but I have grown old of it and the last few times I was there, the meat was dry and tasteless. Being pregnant and due any day, food is VERY important to me. I turned to my fellow Yelpers for suggestions. That's how we found The Pickled Pig Pub. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon at lunchtime. It wasn't busy at all. I immediately became jealous of all the amazing fine beers they not only had in stock but also on tap. Oh how I long for a "cold one". We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and weren't disappointed. While the best I ever had was in NC, I can't find fried pickle spears here in Philly so I was pleasantly impressed. For lunch I ordered the pulled pork BBQ style sandwich. My father ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The Pulled Pork was fantastic. It was falling off the delicious bun and was perfectly seasoned and moist. On top of the pork they added slaw which gave a hint of flavor but wasn't overpowering the pork. It was a nice touch. My dad said his Bacon Cheeseburger was good. It was cooked to his liking (medium rare). While he enjoyed it, I think he secretly wished he also ordered the pork sandwich. We both agreed the the French fries were overly salted. I would most certainly suggest this place. I am looking forward to returning next time I am in DE, an next time enjoying one of their fine brews. ;)

Bottom line: 5 stars! Thanks to Yelp for helping us find this place since it's not one you'll find on your own. This place has an incredible selection of beers & cheeses. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are incredible! I've never thought of a bun as something to brag about but mine melted in my mouth (and the brisket and baked beans filling was even better!). The locals sitting next to us bragged about this being the best sandwich place in the area & I saw why. They recommended the Chicago beef for those who know the Windy City delectable dish. This is a place we are putting on the must visit list for our future visits to Rehoboth Beach.

I wasn't sure what to expect when walking into this restaurant but it was delicious!! I had the Chinese chicken sliders and they were to die for. The price was a tad high but the food and service was great.

Great beer selection and MUCH better food than DFH. In fact, the entire table ate and unlike dfh, it didnt cause anyone to rage punch a kitten. Get the pork flatliner, it might change your life. Seriously though, DFH brewpubs are cool, but this place is easier to get to, has a great rotation and the food is infinitely better. Do it.

Really enjoyed this place, found it on Yelp. Everything we had was exclellent. Started with fried pickle, was quite interesting. I had something called the "pork flatliner" [smoked pit ham, shredded pork, pork belly, bacon, smoked cheddar, southern bbq style sauce & pickles on toasted panini roll]. It did not disappoint, absolutely full of pork fatty goodness. I cannot remember what my wife and kids ordered, but everyone liked what they had and we will be back.

Always a good choice. I've been there at least 30 times and everything was always delicious. I highly recommend the warm pretzel turkey sandwich or the burgers. If you are vegetarian or trying to watch the calories, the Asian bistro salad is a winner. They also have a great selection of draft beer, although I can't figure out why they sell Miller Lite. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the fried pickles (too greasy).

Great fish & chips! Large portion & very tender - not overdone. Love the beer varieties too...

Have been here several times. Excellent each time. Excellent choice of cold Beer on draft. Wonderful food too. The hamburger is one of the best. The pork ribs and beans is really a treat. Save room for desert too..

  • Katy S.

We've been here twice so far and both times the food has been very tasty. Tonight we had two with the turkey sandwich, one with sliders, one pulled pork southern sweet style and an Asian Bistro salad. Not one disappointed muncher in the bunch. They have a large selection of beer, wine and ale. Didn't try dessert, maybe next time!

Found this place when we were here a couple years ago but never wrote a review. Well we're here again and gave it another shot for lunch. All good craft beers on tap, mostly locals too. I had the pulled pork which was very good. The pork is actually smoked (probably not on premise though) but still good. As the name implies, you get a huge chunk of pickle with your meal. My only complaint is some of the dishes are a little on the pricey side. But perhaps that just fits the area... If prices were a little better, it would easily be 5 star all day long.

One of our favorite places in Rehoboth! It is a great alternative beer destination to Dogfish Head for those trying to avoid crowds. Though their beer selection isn't huge, it is fairly eclectic and I always find a few that I enjoy. The food is great. I highly recommend the hog wings as well as the pulled pork sandwich.

One of my favorite Rehoboth Beach spots. Great beer selection and lunch deals. I highly recommend the fish tacos, they are fried and have an outstanding pico de gallo. The pork belly sandwich and BB&J burger are also very good!

  • Cliff B.

Searched for quick tasty lunch and pickled pig delivered! I had the Cuban, which was great, preceded by the beer, cheese, crab soup - very filing and satisfying. Wife had Pork Flatliner - loaded with multiple pork items and yummyness. Other good items abound in this great find.

Maybe we just got them on a bad day, but we were disappointed with the food. Many things did not resemble the menu descriptions at all, and one item was missing from our carry out order, which is very frustrating.

Love coming to this restaurant, great food and service. I got the PB&J burger and it was excellent, never would have thought that I could like peanut butter and jelly on a burger but it's quite tasty. The Reuben is crazy good and everyone loves it. Great menu and anything you pick will be pleasing. The waiters are very kind and ours was actually being trained and still did a fabulous job.

One of our favorite Rehoboth eats! Consistently good food, good beer selection and service. Always interesting specials. Plus a really good peanut butter pie which is difficult to find out these days!

This is definitely a hidden secret. My wife and I just stopped in because we were shopping at the shoe store next to it and we were extremely happy we did. We have been back a few times since and have yet to be disappointed. The burgers are amazing, including the pb&j burger. The hog wings are huge and are smoky and delicious. The fried pickles are excellent as well. They always have a great list of craft beers on tap to quench your thirst. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot.

Let's talk about salad. I know what you're thinking eww salad. Um NO! The Picked Pig has an amazing salad on the menu. It's a roasted veggie salad with quinoa and you can add a protein for a little extra cash. I added chicken and had their vinaigrette dressing in the side. Ok let's beak this down. Chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection. The rest of the salad was cold but not a bad contrast to the warm chicken. Roasted veggies included carrots, red onion, asparagus, zucchini, tomato and I'm sure a few more I'm forgetting. The base of the salad was spinach and red quinoa. To top it off I had their vinaigrette on the side. This vinaigrette is amazing! Slightly sweet, slightly salty. Perfection I tell you! My husband got the PB&J burger and full heartily agrees with other reviews about how good it was. We also shared a cup of their beer and crab soup. He liked. I wasn't a fan. It was pretty bitter from the beer and the old bay popcorn melted in leaving kernels that made my brain think they were shells. But it's a popular menu item for them. I recommend trying it and seeing for yourself.

The warm, friendly rustic-modern appeal of the restaurant's interior was surprisingly betrayed by its sterile, strip mall facade. Service was friendly and prompt not wasting time with social cliches. The menu was eclectic...drunken noodles to burgers. My husband got the fish tacos and pulled pork sandwich. He raved. I got the spicy drunken noodles with shrimp. They were everything they should be. Our children got the typical fare and it was typical. Perhaps, a couple dollars over-priced for what it was. Great beer selection, fun and lively atmosphere. In all, a good choice.

After trying to get to this place for a year, my husband and I finally made it! On vacation last year we had planned to go here, but picked a mediocre place right in Rehobeth instead. After seeing that the Pickled Pig was rated the #1 craft beer bar in Delaware on Brew Dogs later in the summer we were kicking ourselves for a whole year realizing what a mistake we had made. But we finally got to the Pickled Pig this vacation and are super happy we did! Of course to start, we had to get beers. After having spent some time at the Dogfish Head Brewery earlier in the week, I went with the Festina Peche'. They have plenty of other great beers on tap as well. When we went it was the "Bells Tap Takeover", so many good selections from that brewery. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. They must make their own pickles (I'm guessing from the name) because they tasted so much better than a typical fried dill from any other restaurant. For my main meal I had the spicy Thai noodles, which were excellent. It paired really well with the Bell's Oberon (2nd beer of the night). My husband had the PB&J burger, which he loved. I had a bite, and it was really good, but it was really heavy. I don't think I would have been able to eat the whole thing! We loved the place so much we stuck around at the bar for a few more drinks. I was so full though I had to switch to a gin and tonic, which was a shame since they have so many good beers. We can't wait to come back on vacation next year!

OMGG! When I was deciding from all the delicious sounding dishes on the menu, I just asked myself "What Would Guy Fieri Do??" He'd definitely do the PB&J. Such a genius idea and done extremely well. The strawberry-jalapeño jam is surprisingly savory with a hint of sweetness and spicy. The peanut butter is noticeable in every bite. I love that chalky, sticky texture it gives and the added smokiness and saltiness from the bacon! If you're like me and need some freshness in your burger, I asked for lettuce and tomato on the side and ended up using it. It surprisingly didn't take away from the peanut butter and jelly! I also started with the Beer, Cheese, and Crab soup topped with old bay popcorn. The popcorn was such a smart idea! They should really cover the entire bowl with a layer! The soup was a hit as well. The inside of this place is comfortable and much larger than I expected! It looks quite un-established from the outside but is actually very complete, clean, and warmly decorated. The service was great too. We were greeted and sent off by a friendly bearded man. Our waitress (Renata?) was very sweet too, and dealt with all of our special requests.

Lunch on a Sunday, I had a tasty sandwich called the pork flatliner (implications aside), filled with pulled pork, pork belly, bacon, and ham. Crispy beer to go with it, almost made me fall asleep on the drive back to Maryland. Pretty hearty and flavorful. My wife's fish tacos left a little to be desired, salsa kind of bland, but the rest of the menu seemed like solid bar food, not fine dining, but good. Good beer selection, local, and a good vibe, but nothing that makes it jump off the page.

I had already been to the sister restaurant on rehoboth ave and really liked it, so was expecting good things. Despite being in a strip mall the place has a good atmosphere on the inside. We started out with the tarragon mussels, which came in a very tasty broth. Not exactly a moules marinieres in Paris good, but damned good. I also had a Spanish cider that was perfect. As cider gains popularity I find myself veering away from the really sugary brands. This was dry but not too dry. For lunch, my mom had the grilled vegetable salad and said it was good. I wanted to try the pb and j burger because holy hell, does that just sound weird. And it was very weird, but also weirdly delicious. The creamy texture of the peanut butter on a burger was new to me, but really flavorful and interesting. I would definitely get it again. Our server, Ryan, was polite and attentive. With a drink, an appetizer and two meals the total was $40, all in all well worth it. Thanks for a great lunch.

A mini remodel the hostess station on left as you enter. Now 2 hog wings and dry corm bread instead of 3 wings. And $2 more! Most menue prices are up and portions down. Great service. Good food, but creeping up in price. Cold fries With delicious pulled pork on a homemade roll. Bread pudding on the dry side but served warm with ice cream and a marvelous Carmel drizzle. Fish and chips cold fries too. Fish burnt and very dry. Time to find a new stand by.

This is decent for something that isn't in a major metro area. But that being said, I feel like if they're charging 13-14 for entrees, they ought to pretend they're competing with metro area restaurants. I got a halibut wrap and it was just dry and bland. Not the worst thing I've ever had and totally edible, but I wouldn't ever suggest this for anyone else. My SO enjoyed his PB and J burger (I would say it's "interesting" at best.) and the bacon filled potato salad wasn't half bad so I was debating whether or not to give this place a 3 or a 4. I had to go with a 3 because my $10 mango? blueberry sangria tastes like it came from some can, it was not good. I put a question mark next to the mango because I'm not even really sure what type of fruit it was- it was just really inferior wine with some fruit thrown in (not steeped) and the piece of yellow fruit inside was disgustingly chewy and bitter that I had to spit it out. Also, service was a little luckluster. Not the worst by any means and she had enthusiasm, but she didn't try any of the items I asked about and didn't know much about them so she couldn't give a good suggestion. Servers who don't know their menu is a sign of mediocre food that isn't worth eating or caring about. I only realized after ordering that I should probably be eating the flatliner because it has pickles and pig like it's namesake. tl;dr: You're not missing out if you skip the pickled pig. Sorry!

I love this place. The atmosphere has a quirky yet hometown gastropub feel to it. The staff is great - even though they are usually pretty busy every time I go in there! The beer menu is AWESOME! If you like craft beer check it out - they rotate the taps often and it is nice to be able to try something new every time you stop in. I love the fish tacos & the roasted vegetable salad w/ orange white balsamic vinaigrette, quinoa & Parmesan cheese. YUM! Everything tastes fresh and I have tried to recreate the dishes at home without luck. I don't mind because the prices are reasonable here especially for the creativity & taste. I've started to stop in here pretty often, a few times a week. The service is quick & friendly - the location is right off of route 1 near the Tanger Outlets so it is a very convenient place to stop in for lunch. The Happy Hour rocks & they have it all day on Sunday. I've had the sandwiches, the beer cheddar crab soup, salads, tacos, cheese dips & the only thing I can't wait to try is the cheese board. Always looks amazing and I will have to update the review once I try it. Stop in here - it is great !

We ate here on a Saturday,a late lunch. It's a good idea to look at a map before coming here. It's on the Coastal Highway, which is a mess of entrances and frontage roads. It's on the West side of the road, The restaurant is in a strip mall and it's easy to miss the signs. The easiest thing is to remember it's close to Pier One. The atmosphere is relaxed and spacious. It's a good place to go with a group, the parking is easy, you won't be crowded into a small dining room. The menu is meaty.

Like the atmosphere, great selection of beer and broad selection of food offerings. It ranges from cheese plates, burgers to Thai drunken noodles. Kids menu also had good selection, including salmon and steak. However the foods in general were on the salty side, perhaps to drive higher beer consumption but was a disappointment.

I'm already a big fan of the Pig and Fish, so I had to give their second location a try. My best friend and I dropped in for a late lunch today and were warmly greeted by a woman at the front who also wound up being our server. We quickly decided on our meals and put in orders for some drinks: Brooklyn blast beer for her and twisted pig cocktail for me. (I should have known better than to drink at 2 p.m. The cocktail was tasty but knocked me for a loop!) Food came out rather quickly and everything was well prepared. I got the PB & J burger, med rare, which came slathered in bacon peanut butter, with strawberry-jalapeño jam and aged cheddar on a fresh, soft but sturdy roll. It was a delicious, albeit messy, affair. The bff had the bacon jam and blue burger, which came with bacon shallot jam, blue cheese, and red onion. I had mine with a side salad, and she got potato salad with hers. The sides were great, everything was fresh and well-seasoned, and the toppings were generous. We were too full for dessert, but it is more than safe to say that we will be back to this great little place hiding in a strip mall along route 1. I was glad to see the joint hopping at 2:00 in the afternoon. Here's to a great summer season ahead and much success to the pig and fish folks!

This little gem of a pub is tucked away in a shopping center on the west side of Coastal Highway as you're heading south toward the beaches. Don't be fooled by its location, because the selection of menu items, generous portions, and friendly wait staff will not disappoint! I particularly liked the motto on the back of the wait staff's tee-shirts: "Pickles are cucumbers soaked in evil." Will definitely stop in again on our way to the Delaware beaches!

Great spot. Been wanting to check it out the last few visits and the timing was never right. So glad we got there for lunch. Great beer list, awesome service, excellent food. We enjoyed the make your own cheese plate, the fried pickles were criminally delicious, and both my mother and wife enjoyed the roasted vegetable salad, one with salmon and one with chicken. Came highly recommended and they both loved it. I had the reuben, which was perfect. I changed the chips to fries on the recommendation from our server, fantastic lunch. And my dad loved his lamb sandwich on fresh, hot Indian naan bread. Original option, unique presentation, great flavor. Excited to go back!

Love this place and drop by about once a week. Bartenders are always cheerful, plenty of beers on tap and a great menu. Never been disappointed. Quick tip: order whatever cheesecake they offer on their dessert menu. Trust me on this.

We sat at the bar and had a pulled pork sandwich and roasted vegetable salad. The pork was excellent. The salad was the very best I have ever had! Patrick was our bartender and he was wonderful: attentive, pleasant and went out of his way to serve us.

This is one of our go to restaurants during high beach season: it is just far enough off the beaten path that I you can generally get a table. Food is consistently great and not all is fried. The kitchen is imaginative and the menu is updated regularly. Something for everyone here, from meat to seafood to vegetarian fare. Portions are generous. There is a kid menu with a range of foods that will work from toddler to tween (extra kid sides are $2 and generous--an easy way to up the volume for a tween picky eater. They have loads of great beer here and you can sample for free before committing to a full pour. Decent heavy appetizers for those who would rather drink than dine, too. We like the burgers and salads; don't miss the BBQ when it is offered. Desserts are few but well chosen in their variety.

The Pickled Pig Pub More and more Delmarva is starting to show its legs as a food lovers destination. The Pickled Pig Pub in Rehoboth Beach, DE is one of the shining stars. The eclectic menu and diverse beer selection gives all diners something to choose from; Seafood, Farm and Vegetarian options with Pacific Rim flair, Latin influence or good old fashioned American classics, the Pickled Pig Pub is the place to be. Located at the Harbor Square Shopping Plaza in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Recently I attended a Hot Wing contest, the Pickled Pig Pub was a competitor, the wings they brought were great, but the shining star was the menu item - "Hog" Wings: four jumbo pork wings served southern bbq style. They brought a limited amount of these Pork lollipops to the chicken wing contest, they were a hit to say the least. If you like Craft Beer and unique for the area menu items, try the Pickled Pig Pub, It's fantastic!

The crab dip had lots of crab meat in it and was a treat. The fish tacos were good, delicate batter fried fish and pickle in it. Definitely recommend the lamb sandwich, juicy and yumm. My husband was not a big fan of the PB burger though! We are not big fans of peanut butter & sweet jam on burgers, maybe that's why!

Have had a handful of people recommend this restaurant and pub to me. We had the thai mussels and soft pretzel appetizers. Both were very good. I had the barbecue chicken salad sliders. Excellent! My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was good. Service was very attentive. Beer list was very good. good selection of dogfish head. I would definitely recommend this place

Awesome place great food and great service. Ordered deep fried pickles, brisket egg rolls, pb&j burger and the jam and blue cheese burger. Everything cooked perfectly and tasted great. Service was perfect. Get the brisket egg rolls. Amazing at how good they were. PB&J burger was a sensory bomb. Amazing! In terms of experience I compare that burger to eating at Juniors Cheescake in NYC

The food was good, and if I was judging solely off of it this place would rate at a four star, but the service was terrible. If you come in as a family you are seen as a nuisance who isn't to be bothered with. Oh well there are places where my business is appreciated and I guess I will visit them instead. Very disappointed right now considering the wonderful quality of the food.

Very surprising place. We went here a few times and the beer and sandwiches were very good. What totally surprised us was the tacos at happy hour! The bartender, whining ave seen a few times and he is always great, recommended the pulled pork taco so I ordered one. 2 bites later I am already ordering more.

I go there often especially for happy hour. The menu for happy hour has individual tacos for $3.50 each with either seafood or pork. They are really good. Chili is $3 and the cheese plate on happy hour is $9. It is very good. The hog wings are like little pork shanks. They are very meaty. I get a rail vodka and cranberry for $4. They have other drink specials as well. Easy location. On route 1. The sister location pig and fish is in town so this is easier in season.

I have to agree with others that the service is spotty at best. Though we are local and are used to bad service, it is part of life here in tourist central. Wife ordered a mixed drink; very weak. The sandwich menu is the way to go here. The fries could be great if they cut them in-house. The pickles are great. The one entree we ordered got cold very quickly so I assume it was microwaved or sat for a while waiting for the rest of the food. It was short-ribs with mac and cheese.. it really did not work and mashed potatoes would have worked better. We will try one more time and stick to sandwiches and the in-house made kettle chips.

Restaurant is above average for atmosphere and food. We visited on a weds afternoon at 3pm. Our food was delicious, but service at the bar was not terrific. Delicious burger and lamb sandwich, an especially good dill pickle. Our food was placed in front of us and bartender immediately walked away to chat with friends at other end of bar. I tried to call out to him , and one of his friends told him we needed him. We needed salt and pepper and ketchup. We were two of 6 people in the entire place. It seemed that the bartender wished he was somewhere else. I was surprised that we were given a bag of chips with our meal. The menu seemed to suggest that the kettle fried chips were freshly made. We will return again and hope service is a bit better.

Read about something named the pbj burger and mase a point of finding this delecacy so my girlfriend could experience it. I had a pub steak that was cooked exactly the way i askes. The burger was fantastically unique and althought the jalapeno crab dip was pricey,it was worth every penny. Best crab dip I have had in many years. excellent service. Well worth the trip to the beach.

What a great little place with a relaxed ambiance! Patrick was quite the attentive server, even when he had to come back several times because we couldn't make up our minds! We had the pork flatliner which was a tasty treat, and the hog wings were fall off the bone tender..They have a nice selection of craft beers, many of which are local, and their wine list fit nicely. Will definitely be back

Great food! This place is hard to find. Its very easy to overlook because its in a small strip mall with a Starbucks. So when we first pulled up, we almost drove away because of the strip mall look. However we were real hungry so we went in. Whoa! The place was packed (on a Thursday night). We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and fast. Ordered bacon blue cheese salad which was surprisingly good! I expected the regular overdressed salad with bacon bits and huge chunks of cold blue cheese, but nope, it had real bacon, cooked perfectly and soft blue cheese which wasnt too sharp. We shared a large salad and ate it all. We ordered the fish tacos from the appetizer menu and they were super good. Saw many other patrons ordering the same thing. I am definitely coming here again the next time we visit. The dinner menu is expensive though. The place also seemed to be full of locals, which is a sign of a good restaurant!

Had the opportunity to stop in for lunch today. I took a chance and ordered the Peanut Butter and Jelly Burger. When I tasted it I was glad I made the choice. Our waiter was exceptional. Although service seemed slow the waiter was attentive and apologized for the slow turn around time. The Pickled Pig is far from a fast food restaurant. Not inexpensive but not expensive either.

Went here with a co-worker for lunch, had the BLT salad and beer-crab-cheese soup, and we shared the chorizo cheese dip. Everything was excellent, service was prompt and attentive, and the beer list was great. I'll definitely be back!

Not overly impressed with what this place has to offer. Beer selection is solid but the prices lean towards gouging and with very little competition, absolutely unnecessary but they can get away with it. $8 for a 13oz. pour of Green Flash IPA for example is just wrong. Service was ok, but she could care less to be there and it showed. Burger ordered medium rare and cooked well done...still tasty. Bottled options deserves mention. Scored a Prairie Bomb which was a very nice find. $16 for a 12oz. bottle not insane compared to other rare bottled beers in the market. Not sure I'll be back either way. This area needs more competition and soon.

Great experience at the Pickled Pig Pub. My wife and I were seated promptly by the friendly and attentive waitstaff. We started with the fried pickles which were lightly fried and served with a nice spicy sauce. We also split the crab beer cheese soup. It was almost a chowder and very delicious. For our meals, I had the pork flatliner, which featured a delicious mound of pork and BBQ sauce. My wife had a special, a soft shell crab club that she loved. Just to put it out there, they charge extra to upgrade from a bag of kettle chips to fries. The fries weren't anything special but were plentiful. Do yourself a favor and spend those extra few dollars on an appetizer or the soup. Great restaurant and will definitely be back for our next beach trip.

I eat there Thursday for lunch I had the fried pickles, they will probably the best fried pickles I've had and I've had quite a bit as I travel across the country. the chicken sandwich was very good, really like the sauce that they need make the sandwich excellent I will be stopping here again!

Was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! For starters we loved the craft beer selection. We had the cheese plate to start which was amazing! Just wish there was a little more bread to go with the cheese, but everything else was awesome! I had the spicy shrimp noodles for dinner, the flavors were on par! My husband had the pbj burger which he loved and was cooked to perfection! We skipped on desserts as nothing stood out to us. Service was quick and our server was very friendly/accommodating.

The Thai drunken noodle and fish and chips were extremely tasty! I will definitely be coming back here to try something new from the menu. Granted there isn't endless choices, but so far everything was tasty and a large portion for the price. The pub pretzels and the fried pickles were very good!

If you are driving too fast on Route 1, you could miss it. Awesome beer selection. Low key atmosphere. Great happy hour. Hog wings (I think) are flipping incredible.

  • Charles W.

Positives: They have an excellent selection of beers. The pickle was large. Negatives: Service was decidedly lacking, despite their being few people in the restaurant. My wife's soup was really quite bad. Not that it had gone bad, rather that it just tasted bad. The BBQ sandwich was clearly pre-cooked packaged meat that had been finished on a flat-top and was doused in a rather cloying sauce. The cole slaw didn't add any taste, only some contrasting color to the fire engine red BBQ. The fries came frozen in a bag and were (under) cooked to order. Basically, everything in the restaurant seems to be from Sysco (down to the plastic drink cups and the off-brand sweet N low). Don't think there is a lot of actual cooking at the Pig.

Excellent food, great beer selection, friendly people... I love this place! This is a must stop every time we are in the area. They also offer a great happy hour during the week and all day on Sunday. I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried there.

I can't say how much this restaurant was a fabulous surprise in every way. Everything we tried was better than expected from apps to beer to entrees. Good conversation with other bar patrons too! We highly recommend the mussels and the fish tacos were superb.

The best selection of craft draft around! And menu has also improved with some great choices either small plate or full dinner. Off the beach location but a nice pub/ restaurant any time of year.

This place was excellent. I ordered the PB&J Burger, and my boyfriend had the Flatliner. Rehoboth has excellent food options, but few offer such a creative menu as is seen at the Pickled Pig and Pig and Fish. We liked it so much that we came back the next day to try more menu options! We were every bit as excited by the Retro Ham and Cheese (yessss Port Wine Cheese!) and Chicago Beef (the peppers added a great and unexpected kick). We'll definitely be back! I just wish they'd open a DC location :)

INCREDIBLE beer selection!! Very good food and atmosphere!! I had the pulled pork sliders. It was $11 with fries and a pickle. Delicious!! The wife had soup and salad. Only $9 and it was a bargain. The crab, beer, and cheese soup she ordered was the best crab soup that I have ever had. I will definitely be back.

Nicole B and I made multiple attempts to visit here, and this was the first time it was actually open. She had a Pickletini which was absolutely fantastic, and it had a pickle on the side that was so good we ordered more. I had a Twisted Pig which was fruity and full of vodka, but not nearly as good as the pickletini. The menu looked wonderful but we weren't hungry. We will definitely come back to try the cheese board and some other items on the menu that were calling our names. The bartender was friendly as were the other guests, and we chatted with everyone while we were there. We even sent someone to the Pond to see LCB later that night.

Good food, friendly staff, OK selection of craft beers. We stop in a couple times a month for dinner and the experience is always good. Variety on the menu and usually have daily specials.

  • Harry K.

We were sadly disappointed. If we had gone for beers, I would have given it FIVE STARS. But, we went for lunch. It was our first time and we both ordered specials. My wife had the Curried Chicken Salad and I had Fish and Chips. Her salad was sad looking. If all I had were tomatoes that looked that bad, I would have put something else on the plate. My fish and chips were GREASY. A large portion of tartar sauce ( read mayonnaise ) didn't make it better. Too pricey and mediocre equals bye bye

This place was great. The Happy Hour menu is excellent! I recommend the happy hour tacos that are only $3.50 each and are HUGE. I enjoyed the Southwestern Salad, the dressing was spicier than expected but it really added to my enjoyment. The bartenders were incredibly friendly as well. I will definitely be back. Oh, and the Yelp address is wrong. The address will take you to a cemetery, no joke. We had a hard time finding the location so called. The Pig is in the Pier One Imports lot (there is a Starbucks in that lot as well).

I've been here several times over the years and I'm guaranteed a nice plate of food every time. The restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall, but don't let the modest setting fool you. The food is serious, well prepared, fresh and most dishes are quite artfully presented I know it's called the Pickled Pig, but some of the best fish dishes I've had in the area has been here. This is one of my go to spots whilst in R.B.

    (4)
  • Mari K.

Overall, only ok. I had the lamb pita and it was tasteless and watery, like it had been microwaved. That's what I get for not having pig!! My son's pulled pork and husband's ham sandwich were better, and they felt it was a pretty solid meal. I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Single-handedly improving my image of the Slower Lower. Awesome. Just awesome. I am generally not a huge fan of the places I've eaten in Delaware. Nothing personal - I've just never been blown away by anything I;ve tried since my parent's move a year or so ago. UNTIL NOW! There was nothing lacking at this place. Every menu item was perfectly prepared (pickles - top notch, salmon - some of the best I've tasted, steak 5 stars - I think you get the point). The beer list - Impressive. With a specials menu with beer pairings - and a very knowledgeable waitress - you simply couldn't go wrong. Now every time I visit, I beg to go to the Pickled Pig.

Just had a great lunch date. Food was very good which matched the service. Fish tacos and fried pickle spears were amazing. Hope to get back soon to enjoy what's in tap too. Good selection of brews!

  • Janet P.

Great little Gastropub in an unassuming strip mall. The beer selections offered plenty of IPAs, both lighter and heftier. I found the Thai noodle to be really nice, good amount of spice. The short ribs are a tender pile of soft meat. The fried pickles are the good sized spears in a crispy (think perfect coating for fish and chips) shell with a nice spice. A bit out of the main partying area of Rehoboth, we were able to get a table for 3 easily on a lovely warm Saturday, still offseason, but a good thing to keep in mind when the crowds start to swell. A tad on the boisterous side, so not a quiet conversation place.

My husband and I wanted to try something different tonight so I went on yelp to search for places close to but not directly in our area. Rehoboth is about a 30 minute drive from our home in Milford. I came across the pickled pig with four star reviews and an interesting and appetizing sounding menu. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. The menu is upscale but rustic at the same time. We started with the fish tacos and cheese chorizo dip with the naan bread. Both were amazing. My husband also ordered the BLT salad. The small portion was more than enough for us to nibble on. I ordered the pork flatliner. If you LOVE pork, DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS SANDWICH!!!! My husband had the brisket burger. He says it's the best burger he's ever had. Plenty of craft brew beer options that I will definitely try next time. Pickle martini was AMAZING!! Our server Josie was attentive, very polite, and very patient since we were kinda just going course by course. There was also a young man (I work in the service industry so I would describe him as a server assistant) who cleared dishes, packed our food, and also ran food and seated tables. Very polite and upbeat. An over all awesome experience and I can't wait to go back.

Awesome in every way. Great food, atmosphere and service ! Our waiter Chipper was one of the best Ive ever had. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He made some really good suggestions. We had the rockfish which was amazing. The food was so good we went back the next night and had lobster mac n cheese. It was so good. He also suggested the bread pudding for dessert and again it was amazing ! We had that both nights. Love Love Love this place. Its our go to place while at Rehoboth

Very good. A casual restaurant in a strip mall good food and beer. We started with Thai mussels and crab dip. Both were tasty. I don't like mussels but the other people at my table loved them. I ordered the blt salad with salmon. It was very good. Others ordered fish and chips, short ribs with Mac and cheese and the pork sandwich. Everyone was happy with their meal. This is a good place to go when you are getting tired of seafood while on vacation!

Amazing. We dined at the PPP while vacationing in Rehoboth and it was the best dinner, start to finish, that I've had in a long time. I had the grilled salmon over the zucchini noodles and I would've licked the plate when I was finished, if that wouldn't be considered totally inappropriate. The chocolate torte was to die for and the coconut sorbet it was served with could have been a dessert on its own. Very reasonably priced, great portions and nice atmosphere. The only slightly negative thing I could say about it was that it was a tad too bright in the dining area.

  • H M.

Love that the people who work here are so friendly!!!! The flatliner sandwich is delicious! We got carryout so I think certain things like fries would have been better with eat-in since they got soggy...should've gotten the kettle chips. We also got a southwestern salad which was really good.

  • Ashleigh M.

Yay! This place is fantastic! Great wine and beer list, diverse dinner menu, great food. My initial reaction upon seeing a "PB&J burger" on the dinner menu was to wrinkle my nose in disgust. PB&J Burger?!?!? What? Bleh! I was shocked when my boyfriend ordered it but also curious to see how it would go over. He ended up loving it! I had a couple of bites - didn't love love love it, but it was surprisingly tasty. Definitely different than your typical burger, it's worth a try for the adventuresome diner tired of the regular ole cheeseburger experience. I had the creamy cajun pasta which was alright... but the beer cheese and crab soup with popcorn sprinkled on top.... BLEW ME AWAY!!! Seriously the best soup I have ever had - delicious even in the heat of summer. Their fried pickles are also quite food - the batter is light and crispy and the sauce is some sort of spicy mayo deliciousness. I'll be back, PPP!!!!

  • Mark T.

The appetizers (fried pickles and chorizo/cheese) were very good, but the BBQ braised short ribs were amazing! Short ribs on top of mac & cheese sounds likes like a odd combination but it was delicious. The family liked the meatloaf and chopped BLT salad, but thought the pulled pork was a little dry. All in all, a great place to eat!

so the food was really good. i had the hummus appetizer and (hush yer mouth), a burger. but the service wasn't. i wasn't told it didn't come with fries, she never asked if my food was ok, and when i paid the bill she didn't bring me change and never came back. very disappointing.

I'm gonna start by saying I had one of the best meals of my life at this place. Nothing too fancy on the menu but what they have.. They cook to perfection. Everything we had appeared to be prepared on site. We started with muscles and some beer cheese and crab soup. The muscles were prepared perfectly and the diablo sauce was some of the best I have ever tasted. For the main course.. I had the fish and chips. I had to ask what kind of fish it was because it was "chefs choice". So they basically build it from whatever is freshest. It happened to be grouper which I had never had before. It came out perfect. Melted in my mouth. Oh and the tarter sauce was not from a bottle. Was also made on site. My wife had the turkey pretzel sandwich. She loved it. Said the cranberry cream cheese dressing that came on it was decadent. Service was really good and the beers on tap topped everything off nicely. I wish this place was closer to where I live because I would eat there as often as I could.

I know a lot of people really like the Pickled Pig, but to me the best thing about it was its name. None of the four people in our party enjoyed the food particularly. For example, the Flatliner is a sandwich with several different kinds of pork, cheese, and other stuff. The ingredients merge with each other, hiding the taste of each, and not coming up with a synthesized "yummy". Simple stacking items together does not necessary make them better. In this case, there is the added difficult that each individual item, like the pulled pork, is not especially tasty on its own. Basically, the Pickled Pig Pub can be summed up with one work - disappointing.

  • Melissa V.

On our visit to Reho this year, we were craving fish tacos from the pickled pig's sister, pig and fish. To our dismay, we found out they aren't open for lunch during the week (we went on a monday). We ended up here because they also make the fish tacos....unfortunately, they weren't the same, very spicy. The restaurant was cool there..a lot of beers on tap, which i like. The food we ordered was excellent though (warm turkey and pretzel sandwich, hog wings, crab dip and of course fish tacos.) Happy hour doesn't start until 3 during the week.

Stopped in for dinner Their beer selection is very good with a nice mix of local and national crafts on draft and really nice selections in the bottle. I ordered the Cajun pasta with chicken and Andouille sausage...an excellent dish for being spicy but not overly so. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. If I lived in the area, I could see this place being a go to place on a regular basis.

First time at P3. Good happy hour! Friendly staff! It was burger night so we went with a regular with cheese and a cheddar bacon burger. Both were done exactly as we asked. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! Pig wings were tender, good BBQ sauce. My wife loved the roasted veggie salad and yeah the pickles are GREAT! We will return to this joint!

Amazing food... Amazing service. This place came recommended by a close friend and we were certainly not disappointed. Martin took care of us from the minute we walked in and we probably received the best service from him than we have from restaurants such as Ruth's Chris or Morton's. The good was seasoned perfectly, tasted great and you can bet we will be back repeatedly! The menu is simple (not 15 pages of choices), yet everything on the menu has you scrambling to figure out what to get. Can't wait to come back!

Nice draft selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great sandwich made my visit a winner. I tried for lunch at DFH and after a few drafts and jostling from the other tourists I decided I'd had enough of that scene. I'm glad i decided to try the pig!

One of the best if not the best places to eat and drink at the beach.. Amazing beer selection, great burgers, fish tacos, soups, and the list goes on. Every meal (had many) has been fantastic. I can't say enough about this place. A must go if you enjoy great food and beer!
